The Long Dark

if you like Haven there's a fair chance that you will like this game as well, it's just $15.99 on steam and well worth the price.....

Jorb and Loftar would most likely dig it since they like Unreal World.

I bought that for my friend for his birthday. He liked it, but didn't play much cause he got lonely and scared XD
Lucky: haven is so quirky
Lucky: can be so ugly, can be so heartwarming

Looks fun.

kinda interesting but not finished not worth buying survival game, probs thrown together in unity engine in a couple weeks. there a literally 200 of these games on steam.

I bought one called the forest, which is cool, but again seriously none of these games are near finished and worth paying for you just ruin the experience for yourself.

Generally a good guideline though, but you may pass up on really great experiences following it too -because stuff tends to remain in early access near indefinitely.
Say ARK is one of the more recent and better examples of Early Access done right.

What I'd really recommend jorbtar to look at:
SUNLESS SEA
It's made by the team behind Fallen London, considered one of the best story driven textbased rpgs out there.

It contains stuff with certain resemblance to the "fate system", or might help in spicing it up for the future.

The Long Dark is actually one of the few enjoyable early access games. It gets updated often with meaningful content and was actually a fun game even upon initial release. I would normally agree with you though.

Not even remotely like haven - so "if you like haven you'll like this game" I disagree applies. But, it's a good survival game.
