Metal fate confirmed?

Postby shubla » Fri Dec 04, 2015 4:32 pm

So, I mined huge vein of iron ochre with max skills. On first rounds of smelting i got lots of cast. Like 4-6 cast iron per smelter. This lasted for 2-4 first rounds. But then cast iron per smelter started gradually drop, and now ½-1/3 of smelters are empty on almost every round and I dont get much cast over all. I did all this in short period of time <24h

In the unlikely event that metal is fated, it would make absolutely no god damn sense. Metal veins are finite and botting them is hard and inefficient. Pearls and other forageables being fate is reasonable since mussels and other forageables spawn infinitely.

Would Jorbtar really punish people for working hard?

I don't believe this to be true. My industry area is 18 smelters and I ran the cycle four times. Now given I used black ore, I never got an empty smelter. I think there was a case one smelter have me 14 bars, but the average is 6-10 bars per load.

This. I don't even bother with stupid bloodstones or other shitty nodes. Black ore is all that is worth smelting. (except if you find others really really hq).

Isn't bloodstone better yield? I tend to get 8-12 bars a load from it personally? My best load ever was from an iron ochre load that gave me 19 bars

From what I've seen, black ore > bloodstone in terms of yield. That iron ochre yield is lucky as fuck though.

From my exp, black ore > bloodstone > iron o > heavy earth or something.
Best yield was black ore about 15 bars (iron).

I just found a black ore vein in a lower level. Can't wait to see that outcome!!!
I've found meganodes of heavy shit, but its horrible. Also I've found a micronode of iron ochre, wich gives around 6-7 bars per smelting (i think it was enough for a dozen of rounds). Tin its also quite abundant and I've heard stories of people who know people who have friends that have founded malachite, but i dont believe them.

malachite does indeed seem to be rarer than gold, even chalcopyrite is somewhat hard to come by.
