For current stuff, Ajin is pretty strong. The premise seems pretty played out (certain humans can't die FOR REASONS and are persecuted by the government/mankind,) but they do interesting things with it.

Terra Formars is undeniably on a level of shameless racism in popular media that I think only the Japanese are really capable of, but it's a fun fight show.

Going back, Paranoia Agent is excellent, like anything by Satoshi Kon. The old run of Berserk was strong despite budget issues and extremely 90s animation. The shitty old Fist of the North Star anime holds a spot in my heart forever.

My favorite Japan cartoon show will be this one. It can maybe be hard to recommend for others though.

Pretty mainstream here, One Piece, Attack on Titan, One Punch Man.

I've only recently gotten into watching Chinese cartoons because of my friends. I've only watched Naruto, Death Note, and Sword Art Online completely (all of which I absolutely loved). I've watched some Attack on Titan and thought it was pretty good. Naruto and Sword Art Online are definitely by far my favorites though, the amount of character development in them is just insane.

They are all different stories and all great in my opinion, and as a matter of fact, are the only anime i watch.

I have seen (or are currently seeing, OP is never to end I think) these aside from the Attack on Titan. I hear this one was good at the start gates, but ended with badness. You think it will be worth to watch it?

Here's my full list, if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be Space Brothers.
