so will there be a world reset with the new patch? or how far away are we from the next reset?

Yes. We must let this world continue on until it has nothing to give us. The world will end with two uprising factions who each control half of the hearthlands, with hundreds of men in each faction, who battle each other every day for resources and land. After the long dispute, the only solution will come to exterminate the opposing faction and claim ultimate victory, creating an all out war. The factions will slaughter each other until only one faction remains. After this war, lands will be scorched of destruction and murder, and no man can further survive in the wasteland of ruin. Then we will rest the world.

Then everyone in last existing faction plays independently without teaming and kills each other until one man remains. Then we will "rest" the world.

In reality: everyone will quit out of boredom and scavengers will be raiding abandoned villages.
Devs made resource nodes a way too common and accessible, so there are no nodes for such conflict. In Legacy, there would be exclusive nodes with highest quality soil, water and clay. And people used to be more proactive in terms of trading them, fighting for them, sieging the walls surrounding them. Sometimes it is better not to touch what was working fine (example: devs have to almost come back to the old combat system).

sad that devs think that going back to good old tested values is a step backwards in development
