Avatar, and first impression to ones introduction.

I am not aware of any research information that pertains to this issue so I would like to what everyone's thought of this subject is.

Aside from mannerism and user name, the avatar is one of the key elements of the first impression of judgement others used towards an individual regardless of it is true or not. To give an example, my own avatar depicts of a player in a sandbox platform game called Terraria by Redigit indicate that I appreciate it enough to place it in my own avatar.

Even correlation that are more disconnected from the person that uses the avatar has even the faintest connection, if only that they know of the subject of the picture, just find the picture appealing. Not many people will depict themselves with an avatar that they have a strong dislike for.

I would like some thoughts on this subject. Thank you for replying to this.

i have the hardest time deciding an avatar, i like to make my own in paint, (btw i love terraria) i do judge at 1st sight but usually it not matter in end in fact one of the more helpfull people i know here has a horriable avatar but seems like a good person lol

both avatar and signature- I normally look to signature before avatars.

I find that the signature will give you an idea of the person.

That is good a point to that. There isn't a big difference between avatar and signature concept wise but the signature allows more freedom as it does not have as much of a size limitation and it accept letters as well as pictures.

If it makes you feel better, I did not think that you two are the same . You both have avatars of a Haven and Hearth player character so it would be are convolated (what is the correct term?) if it is true just on basis of the avatar.

Revision 1: And as soon as signature was mentioned, I realized that my own was rather separated awkwardly so I revised it so it flows better.
