Has anyone built a potted plant chess board yet?

Postby ricky » Sat Oct 15, 2016 5:23 am

Title says it all.

there are 12 plants that can be potted as well as a variety of garden pot colors. Each player could pick 6 plants and grow a chess team. If it wasn't playing as a hermit i'd do this myself, but im busy surviving

Hadn't thought about using potted plants yet. It could work better than other items. I know people have used cupboards and various other outdoor objects in the past.

That'd be one huge board to make, but with the current planter hitboxes...

Let's brainstorm what each potential piece should be represented by and then I'll do it

Bishop should probably be snapdragon

Stalagooms should be the pawns, with Parasol shrooms for the other side. :)

Could do, maybe just for pawns though?
Could keep the pieces the same and just use different coloured pots for different sides as well

Yeah, that makes more sense, :D , Stagalooms rather than Parasol, they just look like pawns to me.
