No idea who/what uses this tech, but I can think of several recent games doing this. I've got a crap computer, even more so as the last few years have gone on, so can't say the games I have are this 'seamless' in transitioning. Only two I've actually played were Empyrion: Galactic Survival and Space Engineers, but I have seen a few more on Steam.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I assume its not final version. But it looks quite boring after you have been using it for some time.
Terrains look very similar and it repeats same stff over and over again.

It's a tech demo, not a game...

Did I say it was a game?

Was playing around with it last night! Fucking beautiful. I checked out Ko Phi Phi in Thailand and it's like exactly to scale, amazing stuff.
Kinda sucks there's no rivers yet, but I guess everything will be there in time

Yeah with rivers and lakes would be awesome...but i guess they require a better physics engine...not easy to implement, and heavy to load the whole scenario....maybe Loftar can tell us something about...btw there are weather conditions and they are even pretty good...
On the website they said they want to optimize better the engine before adding effects and whatever...
