Be careful with what you give to your cats

So I have a diabetic cat and because of this we've done a lot of web searches on the subject within the last year or two. It's encouraged to feed them wet food and it's pretty easy to just plop that crap into a bowl in the morning without really thinking about it ...

A woman posted this picture of a hook that she found inside of a can of her cat's Fancy Feast this morning.
Reverse image search suggests that this picture isn't a repost so this is pretty fucking scary!



If you're feeding your cats wet food make sure you run a fork or something through it because you do not want to have to deal with the vet bill (or worse) from this

Meh. Extremely rare. I'd be more worried about my cat getting run over by a car. Source: Had cats throughout my life, some of them got poisoned by neighbours, some of them got flattened by car tires. Never once were they harmed by their own food.

Happens in pet food more often than people know of. QC isn't as strict as with food for human consumption.

Also, if you can buy it at Wal-Mart, it's not high quality, and you shouldn't be surprised at what you get. (Not like I buy pet foods from pet stores or get that "organic" stuff that I don't even get for myself.)
