I have gotten a curious about some question about tips and tipping culture, and come to all of you for some tips on this tipping. As some might be knowing already, there is expectations of tip in United States American culture when dealing with some service. For example, when you will dine at restaurant it is expectation that you will give this waitress or waiter some percentage of bill as tip. General value for this one is 10-20% of bill price extra. I always give at least 20% to these service worker myself. Some other area is delivery boy. When he brings to you your pizza then you can give him a little bit more. I do not know how these tips work in other country than United States America since I am United States American only citizen, but I hear that it is not similar in these other lands. But maybe you can give tips in other location like to taxi cab driver or dentist or butcher or some other things I do not know.
So getting to these points, I am ask about some things now:
- What service has expectation of tip in your lands?
- How much does tip supposed to be?
- How much to them do you give usual?
- Other thoughts on tipping cultures
Followup questions and primary functions of thread as per title is about tipping in goods. In some other lands maybe this is how it is done where you give some object as tip instead of cash money. Maybe farmer will give to him some good chicken's eggs as tip or Anuramonger will offer a few fresh frogs free for this payment.
So now from this I can get to remaning question of topic:
- What is thoughts of tipping in good in your country?
- Have you ever tipped in good?
- How much do you tip in good relative to cash money?
As always for you to giving me your thoughts, I am thankful for your consideration!
