Pretty sure there's awhile yet to go for a reset. There's what... The performance update, tons more dungeons to add and object controlled objects. Now from a resource conservation perspective they would be better off waiting until after implementing object controlled objects (my most anticipated update). Financially they may be better off resetting after they complete the performance update however that's something only they know.
I'd like to know how they have been progressing with the performance update, I imagine it's probably pretty uninteresting work but I am no programmer.
I do like fast decay rates but that is Wurms influence. GV and the fast decay rate and having to scrub or hammer a wall or two in your house every day and having to add more stone to your stonewalls weekly or whatever wasn't too much of a chore to me and it kept me logging in. It also provided a place for newbies in society. Ranchers would frequently "hire" newbs to maintain their infrastructure. It also prevented excessively large tracts of land from being claimed by an individual. They simply couldn't keep up with the upkeep. The main reason I liked the fast decay though was because when someone neglected their walls and one finally broke I could scavenge their q50 animal brush etc.
Old age pls no. There should just be easier ways to catch up to the centenarians.
Edit: The skill system in Wurm made decay a lot more rewarding than it would be in Hafen I think.
