For example, I find it very amusing that there is a certain haven coder who has been constantly bugging Jorb to add a notification to public realm messages for his custom client, because he is too dense to figure out that you can easily determine when the client receives a public message with just a small workaround.

Believe it or not, I want things changed that benefit everyone - not just people that use my client. My client has the notification, people using Amber/Default don't.

Why not release it so people can benefit from your changes? Its probably just a modified version of Amber as most custom clients are.

There also might be some people who have no desire to have notifications. What about them? Perhaps the suggestion should be to make it a toggle rather than just spamming jorb on every available avenue to make it notify. Better yet, implement it and release it if you care about the community having this feature so much. By your own words, you're obviously capable.

It's not a private client, it's public and everybody in the Discord has rights to invite whoever they want. I'm not bothering with a forum release because I don't have the energy to deal with the autism that would bring. Yes, it's a mash up of Amber/Purus/Ender, because reinventing the wheel is a really dumb concept.

Because yes, having your public realm chat light up blue would be the end of the world frankly worth quitting over. Whatever will people do if one of their chat options turns blue?! I don't bother suggesting things like options because the list is too long. While we're at it, why not make all the chat notifications options? It is implemented, and the community can choose to use it if they wish - it makes no difference to me if they do or don't.

For now, the public realm chats will not give new message notifications, to prevent them lighting up like christmas trees every time you're in a realm.
