Bullshit, was just another Reichstagsbrand, nothing uncommon and the amount of life lost is dwarfed by the regular (read: seemingly completely normal and accepted) death toll caused by multiple resistant bacterial strains that evolved in hospitals as staff (including doctors) were too lazy to wash their hands often enough.

Slavetrade overall caused more death than the holocaust so id say slave trade. Besides the holocaust was caused by trains transporting goods to slave camps getting destroyed or intercepted causing the slave camps to starve. prove me wrong.

Very easy. Divide amount of deaths by holocaust by number of years it persisted and divide amount of deaths caused by slave trade by number of years slavery existed.

And even not by number of deaths, just imagine, where would you like to be less, on a slave ship, or on a train to Auschwitz? Of course, both were used as cheap labour, both by Americans and by Nazi, but African slaves at least had future...

tons of slaves were rammed in to this small boat with little to no space with loads of them ending up dying and tossed over board. slave trade was around for about 300 years with an estimation of 5 million that died during it and Auschwitz was operational for about 5 years with an estimation of 1.1 million that died during the slavery.

Future of having around 10% chances of dying in ship, before even arriving in america, because the conditions were shit.
Future of being sold for very cheap to some fat american.
Future of working to your death in the fields in terrible environment. Possibly being tortured/punished for arbitrary reasons by your master.
Past of being separated from your family, which probably was killed or died soon after you left your home country.
Nazis at least took your whole family and did it quickly!

But they did... same reason they kept a log of how many tons of sugar was loaded on a boat and how much was thrown overboard because of whatever reason (storm, pirate attack, etc). Slaves were treated as a commodity, not something you had to smuggle and keep secret. Ships that didn't show up with the expected load after "typical losses" usually fell out or were chased out of the business, depending on where the financial backing came from. After all, moving between A and B is a fixed cost, and if you can't show up with enough goods to cover your costs, you can't afford to make the trip anymore.

There are a few examples out there of the records that were kept. After all, this was already the time of insurance on your goods against loss by piracy, war, or act of God. Without somewhat accurate records, insurance just won't pay out.

But back to the original question: isn't this more asking whether getting your left foot or right foot cut off is worse? Or if it's worse if you killed your wife or just beat her bloody every night? Wrong is wrong is wrong, and there are no "levels" to it. When you do evil, you hurt yourself as well as those around you, and everyone has to pay the consequences for those actions. To quote Jesus here: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

good and evil is a man made concept tho. who is to decide what is good and what is bad? my cat kills for pleasure and ive watched her let mice bleed to death as she watches them is she evil? back to topic, but how would we know the estimation of slaves dying on labor? is this estimation all of the slaves that were brought in or only the once that died ? what happened to the once that survived?
