Developer stance on real money transactions.

You can't do it on the forum, but you won't get banned for openly doing it somewhere else like discord.

I highly doubt they care. If they don't care about bots, why would they care about RWT?

Does that mean it would be totally kosher to make a discord just for real money trades? People were hesitant because they thought it might be banworthy.

I won't say I know of every instance of an issue coming up because I just don't have that kind of clearance level. Of the ones i have heard about where there was a problem, heads did get knocked and accounts may have been banned/locked from entering the game.

The official stance is "No RMT." The problem is tracking it and willingness to cut off accounts based on evidence that might not be absolutely correct.

I'm sure the devs have lost out on a few hundred dollars at this point in potential hat sales but the real RWT I've seen has been of accounts, and those aren't up for sale on the dev shop anyways

Can Jorb or Loftar confirm this? Would be nice to know I'm not going to get banned for it before selling hats, or get a confirmation that I'm not allowed to do so.

You selling hats for tokens or for cash? If the former, no. The latter? Maybe you shouldn't risk it, then.

To note: a game token is an in game item that can be kept safe in your hearth. Once you bring it out, it's a game object just like everything else that can be traded, stolen, lost, or destroyed just like anything else. It no longer has cash value because there is no way to exchange it (through Seatribe) for money.
