I think metal in general is rarer this world. The only consistent ore is cassiterite, I had to travel several map grids to find some heavy earth. The only chalcopyrite veins I've found were only a few tiles wide and didn't give me much metal.

Myself and my neighbours are only finding chalcopyrite atm ... there's certainly not a lack of it either!
I got extremely lucky and hit it on my very first mining strike of this world, first strike, first tile!

Last world was far more extreme from what I heard, with certain regions having basically no hard metals.

I have, just now, gone out with 10 doses of rustroot and found 7 different veins of ore in a 4x4 area.
