Is anyone else struggling to find anything worth value in lvl 4-5? Literally spent over 200 bars on supports for searching and yet to find a single stone/ore past q111.

what quality is your mining tool? is it under 111 by chance?

I mean, would I just mine following the non cave-dust tiles? seems cancer

I actually find it fun. Sometimes there are pockets where it is cancer but meh.

When mining an ore deposit it can be worth to place a support or two but I only use them if I am expecting to get more metal out than I put in. Sometimes cave-in tiles have an inordinate amount of ore within them.

Also I at least once spend ages looking for hotspot of high quality node, then I decided to raise my masonry "just in case" (I was certain I already had enough) and all the stone jumped up in quality.

TL;DR: raise your masonry above what you think is the minimum needed not to cap.

yea nodes can fluctuate a lot in quality
you think its trash but it could be q250
