This is a living world. For there to ever be any kind of meaning to it there must be consequences for everything.

Plus PVP can never be as exhillerating as when what is on the line is months of time and effort, the feeling is impossible to replicate any other way.

Loss can never taste as bitter, nor victory as sweet.

You see HnH is not just another ''theme park game'' ...it's more like a study on the human behavior ...You will meet all kinds of people in HnH ...Some wil help you and some other will try to get your head ...That's all part of the game and that's what makes it awesome. As said previously you always have the option to fight back or even simply run away. Furthermore, you will create friendships with some neighbors and what not eventually which will provide a form of protection without mentioning some of us will go for the bounty hunter lifestyle (like myself).

people play this game cuz u decide what u do its your story u do what u can do to survive even if its murder and destroy.
grief and pvp are the main thing in this game that attracts people to play.
the game wouldnt be as fun and challenging if they would take out perma death or pvp
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

That however is just sad. The game offers so much more and PvP is just a necessary addition to keep the other parts of the game balanced. I really hope the p2p model is going to weed out most of those people eventually.

I have one simple question to our beloved ones:
Is archery intended to be vial for hunting? I mean ONLY archery, without UA or melee.
I came back for hunting, but I don't know now. I don't want to level UA and melee until very late point in the game.
But I want to hunt nao.

That was a beautiful explanation Jorb.

What personally draws me to this game is a primal thought; the idea that you're thrust into a cold world which does not revolve around you and whose purpose, if any, isn't there for you to survive in. Or at least in Haven's case it's designed to put you into situations where you will die, which gives the illusion of the former. The challenge instills a sense of purpose in you, and success in this place grants you a deeply rewarding experience. The fact that other people exist who can and will cut you down and throw you back to square one makes it all the better.

Archery makes hunting easy if you utilize cliffs and water. It's a bit buggy at the moment but it'll get fixed at some point. You can one shot foxes, mouflon, and small critters with junk equipment and deer once your equipment gets better.

Maybe a little insight on the stats, which are considered junk/sufficient?

Q20 bone arrows and a Q10 bow have been sufficient to kill a deer with a single shot several times now.
