I merely wanted to reiterate what I just said in response to the latest scenario describing how, indeed, player transitions in and out of worlds are, indeed, always ugly.

INDUBITABLY! In any case though, 'put on your big boy pants' works too. Eventually, I'm sure a better solution can be found as long as there's someone still looking for it.
The poopsocky players can shrug it off, but it does make the game less user friendly for filthy casuals, myself included.

Maybe simply everyone should be able to walk through everyone's hearthfire. I wonder what implications that would have.

Doesn't solve every issue, such as people who wall in newbie hearthfires are still effectively trapping that player forever and that's super lame. It'd lead to unfortunate collisions as well. Having some capacity to break your own and other's hearthfires easily does have its benefits. Downsides too, of course. Imagine all of the poor hermits who wouldn't be able to return home after going foraging, for one. It isn't an easily solvable issue.

if something is blocking a player allow them to walk through it if its on the square they're standing on or add a /unstuck command which will teleport a player randomly out in the wilderness somewhere once every hour so people can't constantly use it
