Two huge swamps near my home that I visit every day, numerous times, and I've found 0 bluebells. Been out on the water numerous times per day too, 0 Peculiar Flotsam.
All I'm getting is shit, and raising Exploration is already becoming a huge LP sink, even at 25. It will cost me 15k LP to get 5 more points in it, now in old H&H that would be fine, because I'd have Flotsam being researched all of the time, dragonflies, bluebells and a few other good curiosities, combined with the "Change" belief which was giving me 3 times the LP gain.

From raising my exploration above 10, the only new thing I've found is Rustroot. This shit sucks, where are my good, forageable curiosities?

And before somebody says "Well you're still far off from finding such and such from old H&H with your current exp*per", all I have to say to that is this. If the personal belief system is gone, which granted us 3x the LP, then why aren't the required numbers for finding curiosities in this game being lowered to compensate for that? Right now it's a tediously slow grind.

So to conclude, despite me playing for at the very least, 10+ hours a day, I've still only found mediocre curiosities that will be taking two days of study to give me the required LP to bump my Exploration from 25 to 30, which I'm imagining STILL won't be of any help.

Thanks for reply, glad I'm not the only one. I'm feelin like part of the issue is we are playing too much, game is now gearing much more towards offline progression. 10hour a day definitely too much.

But still think LP gain could be doubled or something, jorb did hint he might tweak progression here

slower LP gain is fine, realy only thing that would make sence would be giving payed players more of an edge vs non paying players....

Progression is definitely way too slow. The time it takes to go from bunnies/chickens to anything worthwhile is just painful. All the phases just leave you with nothing to do when you're most addicted to the game. There's too much "go offline" time.

No idea why you guys complain ...
we used to be able to find all the curios after 1 week , now it will be 1 month.
I'm happy about the change.
the game was released 9 days ago ...

btw you guys are slow if you only have 30x25 while playing 10 hours a day... (I'm a hermit ...)

I have a feeling the whole thing has been changed to make foraging a specialized job, requiring a lot more investment on the player's part in order to reap the benefits we used to take for granted. Now, that being said, today I had a funny situation in which a new character with 11*11 exp/perc saw a bluebell next to him and when I came over to pick it for him due to my higher survival, I couldn't see it, even though my discovery is about 3 times that (still low for old Bluebell requirements, but a weird situation nonetheless)....I have a feeling there's a hidden attribute called "Luck" somewhere :D

days playing > hours played

Most my gametime was this weekend, which as detailed in this thread is pointless since there is nothing gained until few days more curios.

but yeah your right, just need to adapt and be more inactive ;p

Ya I can agree with this. For someone who plays to get rage and stuff, that 50k lp for theft and 30k for rage makes a huge difference now. Because slower lp means everyone has lower ua and stuff. Which is fine. But their lower ua costs less, my theft and rage dont cost less.

let me guess , you're in a village and the other guys do all the hunting / farming / whatever you have to do for you ?
nothing gained ... wtf ... lol
hunting / foraging / fishing => more base stats (fox / deer / blueberries , boar later , bear later)
farming => better stats / stuff
drying , tanning => better stuff
building a place => more defense

And probably many other things that increase the value of your character.
So ye you can take a walk , recolt a few curios and call it a day and then complain that your char doesn't progress fast enough.
Or you can just play the game you know ...

That being said , is the progression slower than it used to be ? yup definitely.
But imho it used to be way too fast.

11 exp*perc, find a bluebell when i hearth on my miner. Foraging seems significantly more random than before :P

His point is valid, hafen is more geared towards staying offline now, and it'd be good if being active had more to offer.

W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.
W10 - ???, ruined and forgotten.
