Fighters suck at hunting

I find it hilarious that you have a person with a bear skin as a cape as your forum avatar, and give good advice on how to deal with running animals while hunting.

You basically just said you think it's funny that I both wear a Bear skin cape, and I give good hunting advice.

When the animal starts to run, immediately rush in the opposite direction of it. The quicker you distance it from your minimap view, the faster it stops running. Then you run back up to it and it's usually standing still. Rinse repeat until dead.

While this works for cheesing them to death with a bow, it doesn't for melee combat. You need to engage them in combat first, at which point they start running, and you can only punch them after they've already started running.

Actually it does. There's a delay before the animal registers you nearby it after the first encounter. You drink up, get close, then run right on top of the animal, then attack. You ALWAYS get a melee hit off this way.

There is a reason why hunters used bows and spears to put animals down. Not saying that Haven must be some realistic survival simulator, but it's nice that lots of things here at least makes some sense.

So what the reason for bats to attack people again? Even biggest bats are afraid of people and eat fruits.

Lolwat....I was giving you a compliment dude. Im saying that it is fitting for you to be giving hunting advice, given that you have the hide of a BEAR that is seen as the epitome of animal strength in various cultures, I figured it was obvious what my intent was. Sigh. Not everything that is seen as funny, is inherently negative, nor does it mean someone is automatically making fun of you. I mean I could understand if I didnt say you give GOOD hunting advice...

So that is two people that need reading comprehension then...sigh. Nothing to correct over here, my wording was clear, and my intent was obvious, but for whatever reason some people decide to take offense over something that had zero offensive elements within it.

Well if that's the case, my sincerest apologies. It looked like a poorly constructed insult because the word "hilarious" was left open to interpretation.
