One of the dudes is a total hippie to the point it's annoying but they show some real stuff.
I was impressed when they actually hunted animals on screen - Haven't seen any other survival shows that did that, all the others do is eat crickets.

Dual Survival was okay, but the hippie really got on my nerves. He constantly rants about how shoeless is the true way, insisting on going barefoot into dangerous terrain, completely ignoring the fact that indigenous tribes from said areas absolutely wore shoes, or at least tough leather socks.

Yeah, that really got to me as well. Ironic how many times they had to slow down and lose daylight because he stepped on a thorn or couldn't move fast enough.
