I always have my energy level at 2500 or more, unless I need to heal (which is a lot, because I UA foxes and badgers and tame mouflon and aurochs on a regular basis), in which I go get food when I go below 4000. The only time I go anywhere close to 1000 energy when I'm working on a long project (like a palisade, or mining, etc.) Seriously, food isn't that rare; the first time my "Energy" bar went to 1000 and changed color and had (Starving), I went and checked my character's health and checked the Health and Wounds and saw my character was taking HHP damage and regular intervals, and went "oh shit" and got food. Maybe you can just eat stuff until your Energy is 1000 before logging off? I notice the biggest flaw many MMO gamers have is a lack of foresight.

If you plan on training a certain stat, just store food that increases that attribute, and eat it when you need Energy, and save Rats and the like when you need energy NAO. Don't worry about stats until you get to a settlement or establish one yourself. Get stuff before you need it.

Seemed pretty obvious to me that hunger didn't empty out quickly enough get back to 200% efficacy without just doing nothing or using an alt. I mostly keep myself above 4000% if possible to heal all the damage I take from wearing poultices while fighting bats.

It's a vicious cycle.

AFAIK hunger has absolutely nothing to do with energy or stavation. I thought we all learnt this in week 1?

Idk if someone has tested and found out there is a small effect, and I'm just ignorant of that info. Or if people are just being unable to accept that the terminology is entirely abstract.

they really should rename hunger to "rainbow stardust" it would decrease the learning curve of the game at this point.

They are related through the food that you eat. No food is purely hunger or energy.

How this deters people from eating, though, is beyond comprehension.

Corpses seem to last a long time, based on my experience. No idea how many hours, but I've never seen one decay in a day.

Just eat rats and river mussels. You get psyche out of it, and they have so little hunger to them that you can easily get back to 300% FEPs by maintenance eating. Especially when eating off a table. Theres no reason to starve other than completely neglecting the game.
