If this were the case, Roblox would be shut down...

And real life should sue pretty much all survival & simulation games
I mean, making fire with sticks, using smelters to turn ore into usable metal or the process of making beer, cheese and wine are not exactly Jorb & Loftar's ideas
Joking aside, it's a mod. You can't have much control over what modders do - and he used the textures with permission. I suppose that, for a game dev, maybe inspiring things like this could be seen as an honor and not offensive? I mean, he could have never mentioned H&H, but he did - a lot. It's not like he's hiding where his inspiration came from. Age of remix, bro
Also, as others have mentioned, it's comprehensible that PZ changed a lot from its original project/idea/dream, etc... But I don't think the game should be bashed or something. People enjoy it (I do) and it's not about this or that deserving more publicity. I mean, it's not a fight or something. It's good that both games, being developed by small indie teams, have a shot and can earn some dough nowadays.

It's all true, but I think its not fair that project zomboid using similar aspect of haven and hearth gets more attention than haven and hearth which as far as I know has been around longer.
