Not even close to being alone Lich.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

High five for that statement.

How does Jorb and Lofter feel about this?
Sure its publicity, but what next project zomboid haven and hearth survival mode?
It's preatty much taking their ideas and hard work under a mod art made for previews haven and hearth and just using them as "inspiration" which is a fancy word for stealling other developers ideas.

If this were the case, Roblox would be shut down...
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

And real life should sue pretty much all survival & simulation games
I mean, making fire with sticks, using smelters to turn ore into usable metal or the process of making beer, cheese and wine are not exactly Jorb & Loftar's ideas :P

Joking aside, it's a mod. You can't have much control over what modders do - and he used the textures with permission. I suppose that, for a game dev, maybe inspiring things like this could be seen as an honor and not offensive? I mean, he could have never mentioned H&H, but he did - a lot. It's not like he's hiding where his inspiration came from. Age of remix, bro :D

Also, as others have mentioned, it's comprehensible that PZ changed a lot from its original project/idea/dream, etc... But I don't think the game should be bashed or something. People enjoy it (I do) and it's not about this or that deserving more publicity. I mean, it's not a fight or something. It's good that both games, being developed by small indie teams, have a shot and can earn some dough nowadays. :D

I still play it with buddy's till this day, I miss the old look and map of the game. Yes, that was the best time of it when all zombies looked like babyfaces, but I still enjoy it and iI can't wait till they bring NPCs back & with the new idea of a metagame within the actual story. It will be amazing.

It's all true, but I think its not fair that project zomboid using similar aspect of haven and hearth gets more attention than haven and hearth which as far as I know has been around longer.

Ah, I see. Oh, but I suppose they are quite different games. I mean, they do have similarities but I guess they're similar to all other survival/crafting games and not just the two of them. As for this case specific, that really takes inspiration from haven, it is a mod... and like I said, no one can really do much about what people mod, it wasn't the devs decision to make a H&H inspired mod :PP

But I understand how you feel. I dunno, though. Maybe H&H had exactly the fame it needed to be what it is. More could've spoiled it, less could've failed it. We can't really know :P I'd love the world to "see" J&L's work but I don't believe that thinking "Oh, this game deserves less" is the healthier way :)
