The Aboriginals in Canada generally don't like thanksgiving.

It's a little ironic since the holiday actually has nothing to do with them, unlike the american version. Apparently it was first celebrated (as a confederate nation) to give thanks for a prince in England's recovery to good health. As the tradition continued it became a generic harvest festival, with an emphasis on appreciating the good things that happened during the year. But for the Aboriginals it understandably represents the arrival of european settlers to North America, and generally speaking Canada has done many nasty things to them as a nation even if it (for the most part) wasn't quite as genocidal as what happened further south.
