This is actually due to a slight, unintended transparency in the map textures. Will fix at some point.

Gee what could be causing performance issues? Could it maybe be that every fucking tile is reflective? ROFL

Edit..as so its not reflective, just massive alpha-blending.

The zoom is so you can actually see the effect. Since this was the first time I'd really crafted against a wall while looking tbrough a cliff, I thought the game had a feature I hadn't noticed where the game constantly rendered you when you slightly even if you were behind something. It was only when I tried to get another screenshot that I noticed it was because part of the stone texture is transparent.

I suppose that's possible, but the things that really slow you down, like crops, don't even need alpha.
