That sure seems to indicate that performance is GPU-bound, but it's difficult to imagine that even that GPU shouldn't be able to produce a higher framerate than that, not least at that render-count. I dunno. Perhaps it really is that AMD dislikes Haven. Perhaps it's something else. Are you sure you're using proper drivers? (There are, for instance, usually drivers that ship with Windows, but which support OpenGL exceedingly badly.)

I am using an updated version of the HD 4xxx series from AMD's website.
Read up on a couple of "custom" drivers, but I wasn't really eager to try one.
I know nothing about OpenGL, so not really sure I know what to look for.

The last AMD driver for your graphics is Catalyst 13.9 (2013), http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/d ... ows+7+-+64

I guess the mixture of shared memory and a TDP of 35W for the CPU takes it toll ... one thing to test would be setting the shared graphics up to 512 MB in Bios (if possible), run the Notebook with power plugged in and Energy Saving Sheme on "Full Power" so it doesn't throtlle down ... 4GB should be enough (about 1.5 for OS and 512 for Graphics memory leaves enough for Java as long you're not watching YT or Skype ;) )

I feel kind of compelled to buy a few hats even though I'm sure you have a better system to work on the game... right??

Come on, folks, let's buy a few more subs & hats 8-)

lol.

Yeah, my desktop system is rocking a GeForce 750. Don't let that discourage any purchases, though. ^^

That is the exact driver that I have installed. And I also set my power plan to performance mode at all times.

From double-checking the specs on this processor, I'm going to say that 400MHz bus speed and a potentially shared RAM will be the bottleneck. If I recall right, a lot of those notebooks with low end GPUs were frequently integrated on the motherboard and shared the RAM instead of using a graphics card designed for notebooks.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Loftar tell me if the low FPS is caused by CPU or GPU.
CPU is working at 70% and ram is nowhere close to being full.
