The "end game" q grind is so mindnumbingly boring compared to the first month or two that alot of people, including me, lose the will to play. This can probably be seen on the active player numbers aswell.
While i can respect their vision that this game should never get reset, it is simply not there yet. For the good of the game (and for my will to play), i hope a wipe comes somewhere in the near future.

True, it can be boring - however resetting is not the best/only option. What the game needs is a fleshed out end-game that keeps people playing without boring grinds.
Two reasons:
1- Because as some have mentioned, the 'ideal' thing would be for the game world to last forever and game systems allow things to never get dull/boring instead of having to reset. Having to reset for the game to be "fun" again is proof of an end-game/sandbox experience design flaw. One that Jorb and Loftar seem eager to correct.
2- Although big villages/hardcore groups rapidly swim into end-game content and start a boring quality grind on week 2, already hoping for the next world, most casuals/hermits/lone players/small villages take a loooong time to accomplish all the things they want to. Resetting the world would only be frustrating for those people at this point (me included, we didn't even finish our brickwall yet!)
Jorb & Loftar have demonstrated already that they're cathering for all of their player base - not only hardcores but casuals, larpers, etc... This means that they'll take the slowest cycle into consideration.

To be fair, though, it was really only worlds 3 and 5 that were ended for such reasons.
