I mean, there are plenty of other scummy players who abuse bugs and openly admit to botting. Trying to accuse Dis of being the only ones is a bit of a stretch.

Yes kids, keep paying for a game you cant compete in because exploiting mechanics helps the development.
When they decide they are bored and start killing all the noobs in the server we talk again.

This is a pretty crucial abuse in this current siege system.


I'm mostly just having fun, no one is butthurt, however my point stands - across the plethora of worlds, when is enough....enough?

good point, in a PERMADEATH game, this group will seek to permanently delete your character, dear reader, and be untouchable to consequences

"lol perma-alpha testers" doesn't quite cut it, especially in a game with a payment model.

No one said they are the only ones doing bad things, I'm mostly focused on this current abuse of the siege system.

I'll concede that it could be a larger discussion with lots of interesting angles and whatever, but in this particular case they've just used a build layout that I have incentivized. As such and in itself it doesn't even hurt anyone.

Edit: Furthermore, as a general principle I think mechanics should be adjusted, rather than people. Randomly enforcing special rules creates uncertainty about whether any particular game mechanic is "allowed" or not, which can hide design errors, &c.

In the future you're going to need to draw a line, though. You can't always blame yourself or your design when players take advantage of bugs or (quite obviously) unintended mechanics that break the game in order to get an advantage over your players who play honestly.

why does he need to draw a line? he needs people to find the flaws in stuff they build so that he can fix them. if he says that people cant do X and Y and people do it anyway but it isnt hurting anyone else directly its still abuse, but unseen. so its better to let people find stuff like this out and report it here on the forum to them.
