In this case the people involved probably know better. From the information the OP gave I would say the leader was very unfair to him.
So again the attack from the leader could have been a preventative measure so OP cant fuck shit up at the base after being asked to leave.
Well, the first thing before the death I was thinking to leave taking some stuff I deserved (of course in a reasonable limit as we were doing stuff together and lived along). And was even ready to be asked to leave peacefully.

I do understand his point, I do care about raising quality but I'm never in a rush, I like to concentrate first on making the base and planning both design and defence and once I'm happy with that, then I begin the grind, though still always making time for other things such as exploring and socializing otherwise where is the fun ...)
I wasn't rushing them with the q, asked only to use the best we had instead of build just for decoration. And yeah- planning the base is the necessary stuff as you need to love your home to want to protect it.

Hiroshima is a raiding village so living nearby them will end poorly at some point, maybe they didn't know this place existed until now. Fair trade I'd say, they take your life you take their safety.
Agree again. That fortunally took only 3 weeks of playing right? And having 60% recover + the inventory you may see I still got the compensation for my efforts. Hirosima visited us once and was close to kill me but the mined labyrinth didn't let them.
The whole point of the situation is about some people being too polite externally and bearing the hostility inside. And the followers who decided to go after the cruel leader (that place somehow reminds me the situation with Stannis Baratheon)
