We're quite open to revamping combat from the ground if necessary, but this is a retarded opinion. You'd have to have pretty tinted glasses to actually think legacy combat was "good". Let's try to find the way forward, not backward, plox.

We have a 3d world, it might be fun to have more skill-based combat in terms of direction and positioning

I hated Salem for a lot of reasons, but landing thrusts made combat very satisfying for me

please no.

It was at least fun, all it really needed was some balancing and tweaks. And I know a lot of people that share the same opinion, but who knows maybe if you make a brand new combat system from the ground up it might be good, but judging from how the combat is right now and how salems combat was I don't really see you guys making something better then legacys.

What was wrong with the old combat system?

meremgmkgveknrmtn kanbtzt was bad

and no, i dont say that because i was "bad at it"

if anything some metas needed to be adjusted/removed and the old combat system was perfect otherwise.

I'd much rather have the old system than what we currently have.

Charisma combat moves would make sense for the Chieftain role.

I dislike that there is a lack of support abilities in the game at the moment

For example, if your friend is being attacked by someone and they are having trouble keeping up defenses/they are getting hit for a bit of damage, there is not much that you can do as their ally other than throw some stings/punches at the attacker and hope that they pull off of your friend before they go down.

You can't throw a defensive card onto your friend when they have none up, you can't give them a bit of health back, you can't shift the attention of the attacker over to you and you can't null out their attack.
There's just very little that you can do in terms of team-play aside from putting out damage of your own, or body blocking

In legacy you could evil eye, stern order, OP knock, and in some cases, throw sand (moreso in earlier worlds when it was a race to 6ip for flex). We just don't have abilities like that in Hafen.

It's strange because the current system feels "hollow" while at the same time, I feel that adding extra things to it would just make it convoluted and hard to manage lol
