Leave 100$ bills on street and note "Please only take one if you are homeless"
First guy to walk by will take them all.
Humans are greedy af.

Ok, you guys want to discuss politics, keep it in its own thread.

Don't feed the trolls. If someone starts dragging a conversation off-topic, ignore it or report it, but don't follow them down the road.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

The forum information states: "The Inn of Brodgar / General discussion and socializing."

You just deleted all of my postings for no reason. Can you tell me why? Is it because your ego does not like different opinions? If that's the case I ask you to stop moderating a forum ... or to create your own forum with your own rules.

It's my thread and a discussion about our culture an socioeconomic framework is not off-topic when the OP was about greed/unkind behavior ...

And you deleted another thread and posting of mine for no reason ... already informed jorb and loftar ... you don't seem to feature the personality it takes to moderate anything.

You need to make barter stands if you want to help beginners and sell seeds for an easily obtainable foraged item like blueberry. Then actual noobs will get your stuff rather than some griefer throwing it all on the ground or bashing it.

I like this idea. It does require you to have cloth first. Not a small investment.

But, then again, if you are not in a position to make half-decent cloth, you're probably not in much position to help a noob, anyway.

I had the same problem when my alt had my fence bashed in and I set out a basket of free stuff for them with a sign saying they can have it. They took the basket, left the items littered outside my fence, and bashed more fence. I decided to declaim and leave. Met another guy in the area that the same thing happened to - he thought I was the other guy's alt and killed me.

Most people are greedy with anonymous free stuff because they assume "if I don't take it all the next person will, because most people are greedy with free stuff". On the other hand, most people I've met are really shy to take stuff you give to them in person. You see the problem here? A solution is simple, you help people in person, face to face; and you don't do it until you're absolutely sure you can bash their heads in if necessary.

Just build super noobish unclimed base and leave some good items in it. Only newbs will bother to loot and the items go to the right person.
