Look, if there was any way that a game company could make any deals with electrical generation company then it would be already done. World of warcraft, millions of players and more, many of them are addicted and spends their whole life playing it and they still have no partnership with any of electrical energy providers. If they want money, as i said before, their only way is to move into steam platform. The game would get a bigger player base which means more premium accounts and more money. But first, they would have to do a server with limited PVP for all these farmville autists. Maybe add more stuff to the store, like horse armors or other hats and clothing.

1. I use more electrical energy for this game than to play World of Warcraft because this game will require I run my PC online even if I'm not playing it. I can shut down the PC when I am done playing this World of Warcraft.
2. ''If man will be supposed to fly, he will have been given wings from his God.'' Just because it has not been done, does not mean it can not be done.

What are drawbacks of steam platform? Clearly they are taking some cut of profits. Anything else more than this? Do you think this game is just problem of advertising? I do not think this one will have wide appeal to make steam a necessary to getting exposure. Maybe just some website advertisements can do this one just as well?

Limit PvP server I think cannot be done, but I think there have been threads for this one already. I will try to avoid to talk of this one here.

Theres more bots in WoW than all the players that ever tried hnh. And they run almost 24/7. Just wait till Jorb answer you how this is impossible to do.

Gotta love how forum threads get 1-3 replies but one disagreement makes a 15 - 50 replies thread :D

Off topic, but i'd like to educate:

Gas and coal are the HEATSOURCES used to give ENERGY to the steam, that is used to generate power over a steam turbine. Gas can be combined with a gasturbine for more efficiency, or used standalone, but that's rare, due to low returns.
Heck, even nuclear power is used to heat up water, into steam, for electricity.

Funny fact, even though you'd never say, we're a steampunk society, indirectly. We look really sophisticated, but we're pretty backwatered and old fashioned, once you take off the pretty panels we use to cover it all up. (metaphorically speaking)
However: green energy is making a huge uprising, and I mean huge, to the point where it makes up about 20% of energy uses in some places / countries. This is relevant because most forms of solar, wind, and water energy don't use steam (There's one or two exceptions I could think of).
For instance, Germany is currently powerhousing the heck out of solar energy.

let's just say that about 80 - 98% of all electricity in the world, is made by steam. (just a rough estimation of yours truly)

Another form of energy is thermal energy where they mine/dig or find holes like a well with flowing lava and dump water into it which turns it into steam and rises back up where the top is covered to a generator to make energy. Its nice and free

Dams also create a nice amount of energy.

Also, ontopic, if it was possible to do this, many game companies would have done it long ago. The only way I can see jorb/loftar making more money is either to advertise more or apply for steam greenlight.

What about some other things? I see World of Warcraft is having some trading cards game and other spinoff. Other popular game will sell shirts or toys. Do you think some Haven and Hearth players can like to purchase these things? Jorb body pillow? I am just toss some ideas to see what is sticking.

Does anybody know if Seatribe has considered steam? I assume they do not do this for some specific reasons, but it does seem as something many other company will doing.
