Before any new world I would like to see some implementation of limiting alts/bots. without these to rely on, perhaps those crying for world resets every 5 months would decrease since they then would have to work a bit longer to reach their chosen end game set points.

I'm biased in wanting a new world.

I relearned everything, built myself a "village", maintained it, went on a few adventures, but my biggest problem was.... loneliness. As the days went on I saw less and less people, and because I owned a village to myself (which was self-sufficient), I rarely had to leave the walls. We didn't have anything of great importance behind the gates, so we never got threaten. I made a few friends along the journey, but most of them had to quit for one reason or another.

In a new world I would attempt to not make the same mistakes and engage more in player interaction. I would either join a faction or try to get enough friends and other players to form a proper village this time.

I am bored without the bots. If there is a time to make a new world before christmas, it is now.
Or we could let this carcass of a world drag on.

Institutionalizing a paradigm where we reset every three months seems strange.

Yes, but it is kind of alluring too? Is it not?

I can only speak from my own experience.
I do agree that resetting every three months would be excessive.

But as what essentially one guy running a village all my himself, I'm just bored. I built 3 mansions, 5 log cabins, a stonestead, a Great Hall (came out looking ugly however), and I have a mineshaft that reaches the 2nd level. I don't much of an incentive to continue. I can keep building, but almost no one is going to see my works. Without some giant public works project I'm at a loss. If certain types of buildings could open unique possibilities that I couldn't do before maybe, but for the most part (aside from cheese from cellars if I'm correct), houses are more or less places of storage for the quick to break. But that's just the building.

My main personal problem is the lack of player interaction (or therefore MY personal lack of). I have little need to trade, I have little in the terms of in-game goals, and therefore little need to interact with others. Unless there was some NEED for player interaction such as a "happiness" or sanity meter (depends on how much you'd want to make it like Don't Starve) or the need to reproduce to have access to a half-decent descendant (suddenly there's a market for Waifus/ Alt slave trade), I just don't need to go out and risk getting shot by raiders. (Both of the ideas i just mentioned are dumb).

I don't know, I'm just bored. It's the same thing everyday for me, check on the chickens, check my barter stands, put on curiosities, wait till tomorrow.

It is less of the fact that the world is too long and more of the fact that there isn't really too many incentive to interact with others thus creating a rather empty and boring world without forced interaction. I think LadyGoo has mentioned something along that line several times.

I agree that the world lacks dynamism. World resets is just a rather artificial way to create that.

I can not remember seeing any significant action or battles being announced on the forums for a while.
What is even stranger is that nobody is protesting a restart on the forum (thus far).
