Pickles are pretty ordinary, wouldn't eat one whole but sliced on a platter with like idk cheese and pickled onions is ok and some other limited uses. It's not a staple food here. We do not have the harsh polish winters.

Sauerkraut I have never tried but I like sour things like lemons sometimes.

i was confused because sometimes people call cucumbers pickled in vinegar and shit "pickles" and thats not the true good pickles
