Yeah lets have reset every 1 week! Good idea.
Fuck all people who want reset. They should quit game permanently.
Only reason why they want reset is that they are too scrub and get killed/raided early game and then ragequit.
Then they start begging for reset and when it finally comes they play for 1 week and then get killed. Then they start begging for another one.
Ban ALL world reset related discussion on all subforums in any form please.

There is no good reason for world reset. Absolutely none.
Theres plenty of free land to settle, as world was recently expanded.
Theres lots of metals and stuff to mine and trees to chop.

You might say that other players lead you in ql, but so what?
If you are scrub that cant keep up with them, world reset does not help you.
1 week and they have way bigger stats and qualities than you...

Resetting world is like eating pain killers when you have been shot somewhere.
It might help temporarily but effect is not long lasting and results in nothing good.

God damn son, that's a lot of salt.

I don't won't to get into a rant, but that shit was honestly retarded and there's so many reasons most of those arguments are invalid. Also I've seen you get salty over reset discussion so many times that you might as well ban yourself too.

Your counter argument is saying that my arguments are invalid, no other reasons.
I think your argument is retarded.

It wasn't meant to be a argument. I'm not arguing with your counter-argument to my pseudo-counter-argument either, other than you calling it an argument, which it was not. If I were trying to argue, you would be utterly annihilated by my superior use of logic and reasoning.

Consider yourself extremely lucky that I have decided to spare you

I personally don't really feel like either of the two are the best solutions to the problem.
World resets suck because you lose interest in playing the game as the world gets older due to the fact that your work could be wiped out very shortly after.
Now on the other hand (as a sporadic salem player) I can say that having permanent worlds (stat capped or not) also sucks due to the fact that there ALWAYS will be someone that is established and veteran enough in the world that they will be able to whip up a character ten times stronger than your months of effort character in a matter of a few days.
Now, whether or not anyone else feels happy playing in a world (again, stat caps or not) knowing that no matter how much hard work you put into the game there will always be someone that can mess you up in a matter of seconds should they ever feel like it is something that everyone else should consider (but in my own experience it turns my own gameplay pretty pointless).
I feel like a happy inbetween can be a better solution, and IMO stat caps aren't really that much of a good thing either, as stats aren't the only thing that determine a player's power over the world, but instead industries, territory and resources are much more powerful than a single character could ever be. And yeah, goodluck implementing an "industry cap" aswell.

Do this:

- Add health conditions and ageing.
- Limit character's life to 6-7 months. Imagine epic old dog battles.
- Make proper burial beneficial for the whole village depending on how the ritual is performed and lifetime achievements.
- Every now and then release nasty sexually transmitted diseases that wipe out the entire world population unless someone comes up with a treatment.
- Quality race becomes significantly less important eventually since the effects of quality are usually calculates as a square root of a quality with some coefficient so nothing needs to changed here.
- Permanent world. Nature reclaims abandoned land over time.

Bunching everyone who wants a new world into the group of disgruntled shitters who got raided or killed is really dumb

Bunching everyone who likes stat caps into the group of shitters who don't know how to play is dumb

Running an entire world and memeing infinate stats for a small vocal group that is in reality a very small percentage of the player base is pretty dumb.

I'm a hermit, and when stat caps were in place they were easy enough to reach that I could walk around outside my walls in faith that any one I could run in to would have at most the same stats as me. Now that statcaps are out, I know that pretty much any one fighter from any faction could kill me very quickly if they ran into be by fluke. That's not fun for me.

Some people really enjoy their sandbox, and spend time just building things.

Maybe a secondary server with faster rates and countdown clock could please the rushers. This would probably make account buff more valuable, but also costs would go up.

This. It's not how I voted, as I think if a proper game or enough activities are added along the way there's no need for a reset, but until then, let's keep the resets regular and a fresh world. so far it's been two under the current version, and if you axe worlds 6 and 7, then the average world length is about 9 months if I recall right. (A bit over a year if you count six and seven that both ran two years.)
