One thing i'll never forgot is the story of NyxJr.

Once upon a time, i introduced myself to a neighbor i hadn't said hi to before. We chatted, i gave him some stuff, including letting him borrow my highest quality pickaxe. Then he logged off.

And never logged back on. He never died, he just took my stuff and left, never to be seen again.

Not to worry though, his claim ran out of presence, so i bashed in and took back what was mine. (And maybe some of what wasn't mine. ¦] )

H&H also made me feel remorse. A good buddy of mine, who gave me a ton of high-quality metal to start my wrought iron production, was raided and murdered. I still feel horrible. At least i put whatever was left to good use.

Rest in peace Aeryn, you will be missed, and never forgotten. My biggest regret is that i couldn't find your body, to give you a proper crypt.

Whoever killed him, swallow a Haven ant, and get your insides burned and melt out your eyeballs, then fall in a swamp where your only fate is to be eaten away by leeches for all eternity.

Plus, another guy i'd met at the very start of the world right when i spawned in was drowned by some cruel, cruel person. RIP. :(
Total misplay.

Getting into situations in Havens where your death matters, being constantly exposed to danger that threaten your life, and awakening my survival instinct when danger actually occurs in real life that those instinct decisions do the difference between living and dying.

Too many memories to choose from. One with HnH was quite interesting.
I boated in circle around small island in w6 in attempt to escape from guy chasing me.
I did make the escape at the end.

Was playing Haven with a friend in w7.
Met 3 Swedish guys up the river and gave them the name Spruce Caps also gifting them a bunny.
Later trapping those swedes in their own palisade while they were sleeping.
Next day I pretend to be shocked and help them out of the palisade by ramming it.
Made them join me and my friend at our place saying its safe from bastards who trap you and fed them and gave them tools and land to work with.

W3 Legacy Haven.

My old game forum all joined at once and we had a massive town full of 40+ noobs running around. Learning the game with a bustling town full of people was amazing. Whenever you'd log on during the day, you'd see 10-20 people walking around the village doing everyday tasks. We had no idea what we were doing, but it was great because none of us were caught up in being the best-- we just wanted to build a huge village.

Eventually it imploded when we realized the leader had no idea what he was doing and refused to feed us (we had no idea how to feed ourselves, either), so some sketchy neighbor of mine who was a veteran player (who for some reason joined us?) murdered all the leaders of the town and gave my friend the key.

Really, the fun part of Haven for me was before I realized that stats were a thing and I was content just building and learning with friends and didn't care about grinding or raiding or protection.
Thanks,
Jungletoe
