It doesn't hang literally, you can simply wait ~12-36h (depending on machine used) for it to finish ...

IIRC correctly it was a bug (fixed by the update you mentioned) that lead to every (as in all of them ever released) updates being reexamined while going through the list of all updates to decide their state (installed, available, needed,...).

Luckily they fucked it up only half-way (so no unlimited recursion) and you just ended up with a little bit over <amount of all windows 7 update ever released>^2 being evaluated on an update scan (so ~90000 instead of ~300 incantations).

I see. I did indeed wait some 13 hours for it to finish, and when it didn't even then, I figured it was trying to calculate its own halting status. I guess I just wasn't patient enough then. ^^

Well I think I just got the some freaking ass cancer bug. It hung on installing updates. Then some guide pointed me to deleting update related folder. Now it hangs on searching for updates. Just great haha.
I manually downloaded that update of yours, but it just says something along the lines of "This update doesn't apply for your computer".
There are also couple of other updates that people recommend, the problem is I just got stuck on installing part.
I guess it is the part where they say I've been avoiding windows 10 for too long.

You can't take long enough when it comes to avoiding windows 10.

I dont get what people have against windows 10.
I dont have any additional issues compared to windows 7.
Of course there are many problems and stuff. But so does windows 7 have.

It has windows NSA spyware. Not like my windows 7 ... right guys?
I hear windows update is worse in windows 10. LOL
Damn we can only pray someone someday will end this jerkass corporation monopoly.

U:
So I managed to get my updates back, but I'm unable to install them as it gets stuck on 0%. Installing those few recommended updates doesn't help.
Even the fucking troubleshooter gets stuck. ;_;

Damn why don't this stupid ass company just start charging me $25 for their fucking directx and just let me use it on windows 7 -.-.
Maybe $25 for yearly subscription to updates.
I don't want some foreign country spying agency peeking at my computer, fuck you Microsoft.

Sadly I get a feeling they will achieve all of the things: espionage, upgrade charges and microtransactions.

And foreign country spying agency is not going to spy on your computer if you use windows 7?
Are you dumb?
Of course they do.
You can do nothing about it.
Accept it or then Image
