It won't help the game, and I do know that is what you ultimately want and so do I, but all those players then go on to tell the world how awful Haven is, how bad the community is and that we are all a bunch of griefers ... :)

Who cares? better they speak about(even in a bad way) than they don't speak about it at all.

Well it has long been know that we're for a good part a bunch sociopaths. I honestly won't be surprised to learn one day that a haven player has turned out to be a rl serial killer.

You're clueless...
We shouldn't spread the word, we should remain this hidden population of elite gamers and keep all of this to ourselves because outsiders will ruin the perfect balance between all of us.

We are haveners
We do not grind
We do not bot
Fight us

Realistically if you are gonna be spreading the word about to get a ton of new players, it'd be best done from the LS of a New Brodgar type place (without leadership who is gonna piss off everyone, everywhere.) wait till you have a charterstone and do an intro to the game that includes how to spawn at said charter stone. I mean, if the leadership and experienced players who are there aren't cancer you could probably get everyone to agree to leave the new playerbase relatively alone and it'd be a good way for them to work together and learn the game.

Step away from the Dark Net. You've been hanging out with Anonymous too long. ¦]

Seriously, though, great writers have often said there's no such thing as bad publicity. To quote Oscar Wilde: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about."
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

where to advertise?

They wanted to play in w8 but didn't for obvious reasons.
People on that website make gaming events all the time. Invading a game and taking it over.
It usually ends up being 100-300 players if people recruit and have a thread up.

I actually attempted to keep a general alive in the beginning of W8 and failed (and then ended up letting my place die out of boredom and real life stuff). Will try the same next week this time unless someone does it first. Maybe it will go better this time now that we can get people together without traveling for 3 days and nights.
