Except it also makes English a pretty bulky language, borrowing a bit from so many languages as well as some words itself.

Also Heaven and Earth.

Grammar and conjugation aside, English is needlessly complex. There's all sorts of needless rules that native speakers follow yet couldn't at all describe them to someone. All that it does really is make it harder for people to learn.
