But mapgen init happened on day 2, and the actual mapgen happened on day 3. The rest was just resource generation. Either way, the whole thing was finished by day 7.

i think that requires them to shut down world 9 early and they wouldnt do that =p

Have you thought of making (almost) everything ready in 5th or 6th day. So then in 7th day you could just press a button and people would be able to connect to the server with already tested and generated world?

That sounds nice, but there are always more things that can be done before we're done. :)
