How use bow to hunting

Don't use bows or slings to hunt, it makes the animal hide, meat and bones worthless. Use fists and axe or sword.

This. Bows are completely useless right now, at least for hunting.
Just do what the guy before said, lure it into a big strip of shallow water, punch it till it runs and chase it with your boat.

From what I've experimented, each projectile softcaps the animal quality. Shoot him enough and the q drops sharply.

And yes, slings do the same thing, so its even worse most of the time
