Meh, I got 30 asphyxiation early on and it was gone pretty quick, within a day or two.

The -int sucks though :). Plus regenerating shp ruins your hunger bar as you start with fuck all energy.

Quick update, I seem to be doing fairly well. Working on getting a load of leather now for my palisade. I'm not really sure where I should go after that.. Work on getting a farm going? (need higher exploration/perception) Try to get metals?

I think right now I'm going to learn about hunting.. I read about the cliff/archery strategy. Is that the best way?

If you're by yourself, probably. Otherwise, no. Best to use a second account and some other cheesy hunting tactics, such as using boats to block the animal in from behind. They have a nasty habit of bolting right before you get the killing blow in.

Just note that arrows and sling stones will softcap the quality for every one that hits.

Alright, thanks for the heads up

Instead of making a new thread I thought I'd just post it here instead. I have a palisade, I have very basic crops on the way and steady leather production. I'm not sure where to set my sights to now. I thought about hunting but it doesn't seem like it'd be THAT rewarding and could be done very quickly. Mining seems like a good idea but I'd have no idea where to start. Also, I live somewhat in the centre of the map, should I plan on moving soon? Either to a village or near the border?

Hunting is rewarding as early as 20 Unarmed/Agi/Con/Str - you can pretty reliably kill bats and bats have great stuff on them.

Hunting would be your go-to now. You cant really start mining if you have no strenght food, which usually includes boar and bear meat. And you also want bear cape and some teeth for additional str. Anyway, hunting can still be somewhat entertaining, or at least the learning process is.
