Alright i think that just about sold me. I'll wait until it goes on sale, i've been waiting for like two-three weeks now, it's bound to have a special sometime soon. I even have the money ready. :P

You're right, why did you? Maybe you were looking for lulz?

btw. most parents that played HL themselves would rate it 12+

HL graphics are good, even if low res textures and a bit blocky. It really was close to the definitive graphics when it came out for what the hardwaere was capable of doing

Will agree with the rating. AUS tends to over do it, and some of the EU ratings are a bit high. We have a little more tolerance for violence in the US in movies and games (but God forbid we talk about sex...).

Better question is... why haven't you bought it already? If it's the anthology, that's both the "complete collection" versions which includes Portal (and would have included Team Fortress/TF2 if they weren't already F2P). This is probably on the top 20 of the "games everyone must play in their lifetime."

Bethesda just did a somewhat successful relaunch of Doom... now's the time!! I think Gabe is too fat from Steam profits to be hungry enough to make another video game himself, though.

Definitely wait until it's on sale. You can pick up the whole half life series for like 12 dollars during winter/summer/Halloween/bar mitzvah sales

If I were to hold my breath waiting on game announcements, I'd have been dead 20 years ago. Nintendo taught me that one with the promise of a "launch" Zelda game for the N64.

Yeah, I can tell you've played nothing but trash console FPS games just by that statement.

Jeez guys, give the Console peasant some slack!

Jokes aside, I can confirm that Halflife 1, 2, Ep1, and Ep2 are great games. Classic FPS/Shooter, with a decent story line and quite a bit of plot and underlying lore.

Halflife 2, back in its day, (2004...? Can't remember and I'm too fat to fact check) was one of the most interactive and "Bar raising" games at the time.

Once you get into it, you'll notice you can stack boxes and climb them (*Cough* The best way to finish a rather large fight on a centrain chapter *Cough*), use metal barrels as sheilds (Entil a zombie knock dat nonesense outta yo hand, lol, died by that once :P), and even more.

Theres a few puzzles and mazes that some find annoying, I personally found it rather fun, a good break form the nearly nonstop shooting and explosions :P

If you'r curious about anything else, you might want to ask somewhere else, like on the Steam Game Hub for HL1/2/EP1/Ep2, or even add me on there (Douglas Rattmann on Steam), since a lot of people seem to be annoyed at you for posting about this.

Anywho, do make sure to wait for a sale, there should be a good one coming along soon, be it a daily/week madness/Event Sale, but it can go crazy cheap sometimes.

Best of luck and I hope you enjoy the game! Stay safe everyone!
