I stumbled in here after stumbling into another "little" indie game called Dwarf Fortress (which I found from hanging out in the Fed Navy noob chat--EVE--for waaaay too long). Unfortunately, the B12'ers had already given up their village in w3 for some reason... at least, the ones that had established it had. I goofed around for about a month or without doing a whole lot as a hermit as I hated the LP grind that was the method of w3.
I've led a small village consisting of my family--myself and my brother and all our alts. My niece and son occasionally popped in and goofed around with the crops and cows. Still can't get anyone else to look at it because of the permadeath and open PvP... most of my gaming guild are theme-parkers and battleground only style PvP, though most did play Warhammer Online and Age of Conan for well over a year (even the "battleground only" and pvp-averse members). For them, I think the permadeath was the put-off.
