The granddaddy of all FPS games (well, there as Wolfenstein 3D, also by Id, but it wasn't Doom). Let me see how many copies I own... original, D2 when it came out, Ultimate Doom, a rerelease of Ultimate Doom that was supposed to play on XP and newer (mouse didn't work, which was problem with the original copies), Doom 3 (fun, but not the first two games... was disappointed), and the Steam version of 1 and 2 (and these work right! Joy!!) Haven't gotten the new one yet as the computer needs some upgrades first. (sad!! ) Sorry, Doom just excites me.

MDK was fun. Played the first one, dabbled in the second. Didn't remember the cow-dog thing, though. Tried picking them up again a few years ago... did nothing but crash under Windows.

I actually started my FPS experience with Quake first where my cousin systematically stomps me hard while teaching me various tricks, including the rocket jump, forcing me to fight with all 3 dimension.
