It's like "hey ,new day , what i'm gonna to do ,ahh, making new combat alt probably 100th times"

That's just critical of the end game content though. If the only thing to do at end game is grind stats then it's not a very good end game.

Wrong, current meta is higher stats win and if the person is less skilled than you they can still win.

edit: I guess it was supposed to be capped but, isn't for some reason..

It is, at 1998 for practical combat purposes (assuming 999 base, +999 bonus). There is no actual limit you can raise it for the purposes of calculating quality. From viewtopic.php?f=39&t=52550

jorb wrote:We will aim to cap combat relevant stats -- Unarmed, Melee, Marksmanship, Strength, Agility, Perception & Constitution -- at base level 999, which can then be increased, with gear, to twice that, i.e. 1998. The stats will be capped for the purposes of combat, and comparisons against other players in other contexts, only, and you will still be able to level the actual numerical values up as far as you wish, for the purposes of quality and such-like.

That's the last I saw on it.

That cap was never actually implemented, you can raise your skills and attributes beyond 999 and many of the large faction players already did a long time ago. Wouldn't surprise me if some guys had 3k base attributes (str/agi/con) by now.

I miss the old days of W8 when a band of casual newbs running around four months after launch with ~140 attributes/skills were viable in PvP.

W6 movement combat was the best of times and the worst of times lol

1shotting people with 2 ua and 2 mc was fucking hilarious but dying to someone with 2 ua and 2 mc because of a misclick was the complete opposite

So, w6 except KO'd people's defense still works = good system IMO.

w6 combat was the best combat haven had ever had, totally skillbased, your botted titan character didn't mean anything until you mastered the combat and titans were actually possible to beat with not so good statted characters, even casuals could take them down if they were skilled enough in movement. That type of combat wouldn't work in hafen right now, because the client currently is such a lagfest. I remember my villagers shitting on Lady Goo next to our village, even tho we were not in a faction or anything yet.

Some players also have major advantages since then due to their custom client improvements showing so much information about enemies and allies as well as hotkeys/macros so I mean I would love for combat to be more skill based but now they have to be even more careful making those changes.

I miss early world 7, also with what ozzy said about getting 0-300 in one day... im pretty sure if you grinded hard enough you could easily get base 500 in one day

weren't you just begging ozzy and I to tell Koya to invite you to AD all of early w7? Not much to miss there honestly

also you could for sure get 500 in one day, in attributes
