I'm not saying a hermit or lower tier player is equal to a large group, I'm just saying I liked the introduction of nidbanes, the idea that if a large established group decides to attack a smaller unestablished group there is something that they can do in return that stops them feeling so helpless.

This game allows you freedom of choice in how you want to play, not everyone wants to group up or live in a large village where you are quite often not really experiencing the 'whole' of the game but rather specializing in specific roles, there should be no mechanic that forces players into a dictated way of playing.

Yes, I can understand what you are saying here and I agree they do need reworking. Maybe only allow one nidbane to be sent on the person who has committed the crime at the time?
