03/03/18 Stream is now over!

Had a pretty good stream today, bordering on just under 6 hours of content, that will be up on twitch for those of you who wish to view it. Be warned that a large portion of it may be muted for copyrighted music however.

Let's dive into it shall we?

Ignore the shoe; this is the view of the base camp on the outside! it's starting to come along quite well, did a lot of clay gathering today as you can see. overall I made around 200+ bricks and still have clay laying around. 3 ovens, 2 smelters, 2 kilns, and a tar kiln. I want to try to rush into getting metal as fast as possible, to get that pickaxe to work.

I want to introduce everyone officially to Schumacher, the lost pet I found on yesterday's stream! He's nice and well fed now that I've gone off to pick a few wheat fields. Isn't he precious?

I ran around and made a ton of study items today, so I should be good to go for tomorrow's stream. My back is hurting pretty bad though, so i'm going to wrap this up now.

Alright back in action; stream is live again!

Okay so I just got up and moving, so i'm going to go ahead and give a quick update on my progress.

I've gotten a bit more land set up and secured, setting it aside for now as a farm. This might change in the future as i've not gotten a 100% set in stone plan for what i'm going to do with that area. Next move i'm going to make is expanding north, onto the hillside my cave pushes into. That's going to involve a little bit of leveling and fixing up of the hillside as well as flattening out the top of the hill itself. When I have that area cleaned up I plan on turning that into the main housing area, overlooking the cave.

As you can see I have some smelters going. I found a giant cache of coal inside of an abandoned mine, as well as some ore. I spent a good hour or so transporting that back, and there's still more coal for me to go and grab. I checked out the furnaces this morning and I have a few metal bars now, and I can start working on getting a metal axe so I can speed up my tree cutting.

I'd say I've gotten really lucky with setting up so close to so many decaying bases. Chances are I won't even use all of the materials from these old ruins, so I hope someone comes by and pilfers some of the loot for themselves (Takes way too long to go back and forth getting all of this crap ).

I'm starting to slowly up my attributes, the stat spread is a bit of a killer if I'm being honest, but it was worth it to avoid wasting all that bear meat on day 1. I'm trying to drag myself out of that pit, however as you can see I'm going to hit a wall at some point in terms of hunger level. I'm going to try and hunt down some salt, however i'm not going to hold my breath.

Skills are coming along, but at a slow rate. I need to get my tailoring up to take advantage of some fiber I found near the old mine. I want to get out of these gross nettles as quick as possible. I also need to up cooking here soon, I did get those ovens up and I am starting to grow food.

Can't think of anything else at the moment, if anything strikes me that I did yesterday that deserves to be on here I'll update this post.

Edit: Okay, got a free moment while I eat my lunch so i'm gonna update on what I've progressed on last stream. No pretty pictures this time around as i'm updating from my phone currently, no pictures to be had.

A lot of yesterday's stream was hunting. I killed a few badgers and foxes, and even a boar! I've only been able to punch them out but this is my attempt to try and get a move to build IP as fast as possible while being productive. Bats end up damaging my armor and ants are just a waste of time (Sorry ants, you're cool and all but I can get LP from killing foxes!)

Smelted a lot of that ore I found and got myself a metal shovel to begin terraforming the west side of the hill I live against, that's been flatened and been given a small ramp to make it look more appealing. I also cut down a ton of trees that were on top of the hill, and I now have to flatten that area. After that I plan to take on the east side of the hill where the farm plot is at.

I found some more ruins as well, ended up making myself some linen gear that has pretty neat quality, around 70-ish. I butchered the flax quality needless to say, but 70q is better than nothing.

Got my sausage maker up and running, so I have some yummy tubes of meat that I get to chow down on! Need to start skilling up cooking though, that or making a cooking/lore set of clothes to make up for my lack of skills.
