I just don't see this working as a marketing ploy. Prove me wrong though.

Are the Fortnite devs the kind of people to pursue copyright? If so I would be wrong. Could be the best publicity stunt yet. Certainly not a free one though.

Pretty sure some of those dances are not even intellectual property of Epic Games.
Floss was created by Russell Horning and DAB was created by some handegg player.

I'm pretty sure the Moon Walk and the dance from Thriller are probably copyrighted in some way

Turns out shubla is right.
You can't copyright a simple dance move.
Its safe to copy all of Fortnites dances as they copied a lot of them themselves and make a lot of money from it.
