We had a lot of back and forth discourse over the forums. I'm kind of sad it's not going better. Maybe I was just kind of annoyed that it took jorb & loftar away from Haven, the clearly superior game. I just couldn't get into much any of it, and as said above, the combat was in a lot of ways better than what we have now.

Haven has a magic of its own. I know they tried their best to recreate it in Salem, but something was just missing from the formula. I've done my best to nail down what made Salem < Haven, but I've never figured it out.

Salem was.. strange. I remember that getting anything done was sooo slow. Didn't get far though because terraforming drove me crazy. Every time I do terraforming in Haven I remember that and thank the devs in my hearth..
