As a new player this has to be my biggest gripe so far. I ended up giving up trying to raid wild hives and just bought the larvae, as it simply wasn't worth the effort.

All things considered, it's going pretty swell. I'm so more used to Legacy Haven but I'm starting to appreciate and get the hang of Hafen. Is it just me or is the game a lot more easier than what it used to be? Perhaps that's just what improvement feels like.

Went all smooth until yesterday when I entered a bat dungeon by mistake (because I did not know WTF that is, I thought is some of the new stuff added this world). I was riding my newly pregnant horse, may the bones of her and the unborn foal find some light into darkness. After initial KO, I rushed towards the cave exit, but due GODDAMN LAG I exited and re-entered the cave, instantly getting KO'd again. Eventually I managed to exit, and while I was trailing towards a very close mountain to get some snow for some cold compresses, I got attacked by a freaking eagle (I did not even know that those suckers aggro unprovoked!!!). After the eagle had his way with me, got left with no armor, ass naked with about 30HHP left. Now I'm sitting in my spruce bad, having cold compresses over 75percent of my body, a gauze on my head and a bouquet of yarrow coming out my ass like I'm a goddamn vase. Add to that a family of leeches that settled in on what's left uncovered of my body. I am truly a sad sad sight. Although I love this game and the misery it casts over stupid players. I love everything except the lag part. I can live with my own stupidity (I have to), but the lag is just horrific. Hope it gets fixed today.

Yep. HnH wouldn't be what it is without moments like this.

I have to agree that hafen has a lot of commodities unlike legacy, like for example, the storage of seeds is way easier now that it was before and that you can fill barrels without the use of a bucket really changes a lot of it. I feel that they're like 2 completely different games to be honest i do play both but if legacy had a way bigger playerbase i don't think that i would play hafen at all, it just doesn't feel the same, the 'magic' the first haven had is something that is really hard to achieve, maybe i'm just kind of nostalgic because legacy has been a big part of me in my teen years idk :D .

Pretty good so far, could do with a few less cave-ins to the noggins.

I NEED WAX. All of it.
